Seeing is believing. At Geographic Atrophy Imaging Showcase: Advances in Diagnosis and Management, our expert faculty will present new information about the prevalence of GA, its diagnostic challenges, and potential emerging treatments, along with the results of recent clinical trials.

Hands-On Learning

Following a presentation that provides updates the latest information on GA, we’ll break into small groups so you’ll be able to participate in hands-on demonstrations of imaging devices and techniques that are changing how GA is diagnosed and evaluated.

Topics covered will include:

  • Factors that contribute to GA and AMD—and their effects on patient quality of life
  • Imaging modalities and their utility in detecting and treating GA and AMD
  • Value of multimodal imaging in detecting and monitoring progression of GA
  • Commonly used endpoints in randomized trials, so you can determine their significance when comparing results and selecting appropriate treatment
  • The mechanisms of action and efficacy of promising emerging pharmacotherapeutic agents for treating GA and AMD
